ABOUT ALAMO PICTURES
Documentaries About America
Alamo Pictures is a London-based production company. We make documentaries about the US from a European perspective for an international audience.
Benefitting from an outsider’s keen eye our filmmakers explore topical, uniquely American stories from a European point of view while drawing on years of stateside experience to engage with subjects sympathetically.
The result is engaging cinema that defies stereotypes and helps our audiences truly understand what makes America tick.

They’re Trying to Kill Us: Diet, Poverty and Racism
In his upcoming documentary, They’re Trying to Kill Us, John Lewis aka Badass Vegan touches on many of the issues that we’ve looked at this year on the podcast, like factory farming, race and Big Pharma, but this time through the unique lens of hip hop.
They’re Trying to Kill Us explores the connections between diet, poverty and systemic racism. As well as looking at veganism, we discuss Big Pharma and the link between mind and body.
